BOXING

Introduction to Boxing Class
This class will introduce you to the basics and fundamentals of boxing. It is designed to help build confidence and competence with your hands. This class will help you learn how to properly wrap your hands, how to safely strike the heavy bags, what position to have your feet in, and much more.

Circuit-Based Cardio Boxing Classes
This class is designed to be a “barn burner” workout, that includes amateur and professional boxing circuits that can be both fun, entertaining and focused on the cardio conditioning aspects of the sweet science of boxing. These classes will include light weight, high repetition lifting aspects, and body weight plyometric movements designed to increase muscular endurance and cardio conditioning.

Private Sessions / Small Semi-Private Classes (Friends, Co-workers, Families)

This is the perfect opportunity to work directly with a professionally licensed and certified personal trainer or boxing coach. If you desire to have more private, client focused, direct instruction, here is your chance. It can be designed specific to the individual or group wanting to train. Choose from a variety of hypertrophy/strength training sessions, cardio and conditioning, or private boxing lessons to fit the direct desire of the client(s).

One-on-One Training For Beginners / Group Training For Beginners

If the class environment seems overwhelming and a more private learning session is desired, this is the perfect place to start. Get comfortable with using different types of training methods, and gain complete confidence in what you are capable of achieving in the gym. This class is designed to help first time boxing students learn some how to strike, defend, move, breath, position the legs, etc.

One-on-One Athletes / Fight Camp Prep Training

This training and class camp style is set apart for competition athletes that need a coach to help them achieve that absolute peak performance prior to combat. These workouts are designed with the intention of increasing strength and conditioning, power and explosiveness, punching power, athletic stability and control. This style of training varies from low intensity exercises to intense and demanding exercises depending on what the coach is assisting the athlete in.

GROUP EXERCISE

One HIIT Wonder

This class is focused on functional patterns of total body movement. Short intervals with various movements in sequences, to up your heart rate, keep your body moving, and has a balance of upper and lower body. When the body goes all-out during HIIT it relies on your anaerobic pathways (breaking down glucose without oxygen) to produce the energy it needs to fuel you. Other benefits from HIIT, include good cardiovascular benefits, as well as improvements in strength and muscle endurance. HIIT spikes your heart rate during those hard efforts, it can also help contribute to weight loss, since you’ll be burning more calories per minute than you would with lower-intensity work. This also makes it a convenient form of exercise for those who are short on time.

 Intro to Yoga/Gentle Yoga class.

This is an all levels class. Whether you are just learning about what yoga is, you have limitations, or you just want a gentle class this is a good class for you. We will be covering posture techniques, going slow and holding postures for a longer period of time to deepen your stretch, and offering modifications throughout. Much of this class will be on the floor. Props such as straps and bolsters are encouraged and can be brought from home. Please bring your own mat. Sanitizing equipment is provided to use before and after class. Some mats are available to use if one is needed for the class. This class is one hour long.

Vinyasa Flow

This will be a 75 minute class. Within this class there will be breathwork, meditation, vinyasa flow, and then a long Savasana to take it all in. A strap is encouraged to have for this class as well as a towel. We have the option to turn this into a heated class if we do the class in the back room. Since it is starting summer I am teaching both classes in the front room with the natural light so will take advantage of that and leave the heat out for now. This is also an all levels class as I do show modifications for many postures but do expect to get your heart rate up and challenge yourself to find your edge.
